Meet the cast

Just in case we haven't met before, I'm JEM. I'm 27, married, mother of one. I grew up in Idaho. I like writing. 

This is Jake.

He's my husband. He's 30. We've been married for 8 years. He grew up in Las Vegas. He likes science.

This is Jethro.

 He's my son. He's 2. He was born in Germany. He likes trains.

We just moved from Dresden, Germany, to San Diego, Calif., where Jake's working on a post-doc putting his computational biology Ph.D. to work in the world of psychiatric genomics. I'm continuing my independent research in diaper changing and nose wiping with a new emphasis on potty training and the ABC song. Jethro is currently writing his master's thesis on counting to 12.

I'm glad you came to visit us, and I hope you'll be back. There will be more to come.
